Black Angus Bar & Grill

Yes, indeed, this is another steak blog post. My family finds it hard to understand the extent of my love for steaks and all juicy meat. Black Angus is a cosy bar and grill steakhouse on Church St at Parramatta, alongside all these other restaurants on the strip.

The thing I loved most about Black Angus was its modern and quirky interiors in addition to its semi-dim lighting, making the atmosphere warm and relaxing.

The complimentary bread was amazing! Served nice and hot with crusty edges and soft fluffiness inside. Sometimes I honestly think I can get by meals with a basket full of freshly baked bread and creamy butter...

The 250G Black Angus Eye Fillet ($42) with Mushroom Sauce ($2.50) was not as great as I had imagined for that price, but then again I'm picky. Chips were yum!

M's 300G Kobe Wagyu Rump ($35) with Housemade BBQ Sauce ($2.50) was well-cooked however, it was also a bit bland in taste. Both M & I got the steaks basted but you can request otherwise with the waiter when ordering. With sides, you get to choose from chips, mash or jacket potato with sour cream.

Overall, we were a little disappointed with Black Angus as the steaks were quite pricey but not exactly up to our expectations. Maybe it was because we ordered our steaks basted and consequently the flavour was suppressed by the strong BBQ flavours?

Also, on the night we had waited quite long for our food to come out (more than 30 minutes) and that made us a little frustrated considering how hungry we always are. Ok, maybe just how hungry I ALWAYS AM. Nevertheless, the staff were friendly and the ambience here is quite lovely.
