I love the quirky decor for Mrs P's - the vibe is super warm and inviting, and the pops of bright colour really adds to the welcoming atmosphere.
They have a gorgeous all day menu filled with breakfast favourites and other cafe necessities.
My Skim Cappuccino ($3.50) was deliciously frothy and I loved the extra addition of the short bread biscuit that came along with it. A small but ultra delightful gesture nonetheless!
M's Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Egg Bagel ($14) came in a generous proportion size with some serious sauce situation happening. The eggs were perfectly looked - it was nice and fluffy which went well with the salmon and bagel.
My Eggs Benedict with Bacon ($14) was't too bad - the eggs were nicely poached and I got a decent amount of hollandaise sauce however I wasn't a big fan of the bread as it was just normal toast as opposed to sourdough. Yes with all the recent brunching I've become a bit spoilt for choice when it comes to my bread :P
Overall Mrs P's was quite lovely - the breakfast options were great and service was fantastic. It may not be 100% on par with the cafes from Surry Hills but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Mrs P's is more down to earth and great for an easy relaxing brunch feed, for days where you just want to stay local and enjoy some good coffee :)
